A little of that anticipation, reimagined for modern gifting.
Because when the words mean something, the way they're delivered should too.
I’ve always loved the intentionality of a written letter—the idea that someone sat down, gathered their thoughts, and chose to put them on a page for you. And once you receive those words, you can keep them, only to rediscover them years later.
There’s also something beautiful about the way people once had to wait for words. A letter could travel miles before reaching someone. There was anticipation in the waiting, and when those words finally arrived, they meant something.
Today, we can tell someone how we feel in seconds. And while I love the convenience of that, I wondered what it would feel like to bring some of that anticipation back.
What if you couldn’t read the message right away?
What if you had to wait for it?
Discover it?
Unlock it?
That thought became Secret Scentiments.
I wanted to create a modern way to experience the beauty of waiting for someone’s words—where the message isn’t simply attached to the gift, the journey to it becomes part of the gift.
A reminder that all secrets find their way to the light.
